On 23rd March 2023 SLE ltd, alongside KFM and Vanguard Medical won the ‘Procurement Project of the Year’ award at this year’s Health Service Journal (HSJ) Partnership Awards, for successfully delivering the UK’s first fully crash-tested transport trolley system for critically ill neonates for the NICU at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KCH). Inspiration Healthcare Group is a leading British developer and manufacturer pioneering best-in-class, specialist neonatal intensive care medical devices, addressing a critical need to help to save the lives and improve the outcomes of premature babies around the world, and this award solidifies the Company’s position as a provider of products designed specifically for vulnerable neonates.

This fully specified product has had a direct positive impact on patient safety and clinical efficiency with best practice being shared across the market and implemented in other NHS organisations and has helped fill a gap in the market.

We also received a High Commendation for ‘Most Effective Contribution to Patient Safety’ which has helped shine a light on SLE, KFM and Vanguard Medical’s role in strengthening the healthcare system.

Neil Campbell, CEO, Inspiration Healthcare Group, said: “ I am delighted our subsidiary company, SLE ltd has been acknowledged for commitment to improving patient safety and we look forward to continuing to innovate and collaborate with the NHS to deliver better outcomes for patients. Every year 15 million babies are born prematurely and the number is rising, it is the single biggest cause of death of children under the age of five. Premature births are a continuous challenge and there is an increasing demand for technologies that can deliver the best possible outcomes and prevent serious complications.”

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone involved, including our partners at KFM and Vanguard Medical, as well as the NHS. This success would not have been possible without the excellent teamwork and collaboration that took place across all organisations involved.
