Inspiration Healthcare supports Ickle Pickle’s Children’s Charity
Inspiration Healthcare takes immense pride in supporting initiatives that improve the lives of newborns. We are thrilled to announce our recent partnership with Ickle Pickles, where we had the privilege of donating to their crucial neonatal equipment appeal.
If you didn’t know who Ickle Pickles are, they are a children’s charity founded in 2009. They aim to support the smallest and sickest babies who have either been born too early, or with a condition requiring intensive or surgical care. Their long-term plan is to become a charity partner for over 150 neonatal units and to donate vital equipment to every neonatal unit in England and Wales.
As part of the Inspiration Healthcare Charitable Giving Initiative, we donated over £12,000 towards covering the costs of a Neoblue Phototherapy blanket at Worthing Hospital. The blanket utilises a full spectrum fibre-optic light to generate heat and reduce bilirubin levels, effectively treating jaundice in newborns. Additionally, our contribution supported the acquisition of an open warming bed at Southampton Hospital’s Neonatal Unit, creating a stable and ideal environment for small babies’ development.
If you are interested in raising funds for your neonatal unit through Ickle Pickle, you can get in touch with them through their website. To gain further insight into Ickle Pickle’s perspective on our donation and the impact it will have, we encourage you to read their blog post, which can be found here.
